Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Tax Accountant to join our team in Denver, CO. Reporting directly to the Controller and working with the CFO, the Sr. Tax Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of taxation, including working with outside tax advisor, sales and use tax, property tax, income tax, international tax, transfer pricing, and tax strategies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including sales and use tax, property tax, and income tax.
  • Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • International Tax: Work with outside tax advisor on international tax matters, including transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, and compliance with international tax regulations.
  • Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company. Conduct research and analysis on complex tax issues.
  • Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for tax audits. Coordinate responses to inquiries from tax authorities and ensure compliance with audit requests.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with outside tax advisor and cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on tax matters and support business initiatives.



Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as familiar with GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience with transfer pricing and tax strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or advanced degree in taxation preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in tax accounting or related field, with a focus on sales and use tax, property tax, income tax, and international tax.
