Equipment Coordinator - Dental Assistant

Are you a dental assistant that wants to get out of the day-to-day routine of a dentist office? In this role, you must be willing to learn new pieces of dental, vision, and audiology equipment.
This position is essential to the dental, vision, audiology care we provide in the field. The dental supply coordinator is responsible for meeting the needs of our field teams by working with the clinical field team managers to ensure the teams have the necessary working equipment to provide quality care our residents.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Expert level knowledge with all mobile dental/vision equipment, what it does, and how it works by sixty days of employment and throughout the duration of employment.
- Ensure equipment is organized and properly inventoried
- Track equipment serial numbers and keep spreadsheet up to date
- Receive equipment returns, ensure it is in working order - email CFTM when it's all been returned
- Maintenance all equipment as it's returned
- Prepare new field team equipment set-ups according to guidelines
- Prepare equipment shipping to current field teams per CFTM request
- Prepare packages to be shipped, print shipping label, and have boxes ready for UPS pickup
- Evaluate current stock of equipment and request ordering additional equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment errors with field team members, coordinate repairs, order/send replacement parts
- Coordinate with vendors on ordering and pricing
- Monitoring field team biological testing accounts for passed/failed reports to alert the team of the need for autoclave intervention
- Other duties as needed
Experience and Education:
- Ideal candidate would have two+ years of experience dental assisting
- Potential to learn about new equipment
Other Qualifications and working environment:
- Computer Skills - proficient use of Excel and Word.
