We seek to hire a highly skilled and motivated full-time Exercise Physiologist.
The Exercise Physiologist selected for this role will be responsible for providing wellness and fitness instructions and activities to patients with addiction and mental health problems. They will deliver treatment suitable for the population they serve, including considering physical abilities and limitations, developmental functioning, and symptomology. The Exercise Physiologist will exercise appropriate care based on individual and unit needs. Moreover, they will collaborate with the CATW director to introduce new materials to psychiatric units.
The minimum requirement for this position is a Fitness/Personal Training certification or any other similar certification. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in fitness, psychology, or any similarly related background is preferred. Maintaining certifications is mandatory. The ideal candidate should have experience working with psychiatric and substance use populations. Bilingual and CPR certifications are preferred. If a PIR, the candidate must have two years of sobriety.
