AV Installation Technician & Programmer

Summary:

The AV Installation Technician & Programmer is responsible for setting up and installing equipment such as video surveillance cameras, home networking, home audio systems, light control sensors, home automation systems, motorized shades, and home theaters to name a few. This person will also complete electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up Audiovisual Equipment.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Run, video, audio, and signal testing.
• Troubleshoot and adjust AV systems as required.
• Perform electronic repair, installation, and maintenance.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of AV experience.
• Must have low voltage installation skills.
• Audio/Video Installation and Wire Management experience required.
• Network and Audio Cable termination skills required.
• Computer skills, network setup and configuration experience required.
• Must have CCTV Installation and NVR set up experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and basic low voltage tools.
• Crestron, Control4, Lutron, Savant, RTI, or URC install, setup and programming knowledge preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills because of daily contact with customers.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and a reference check.

Physical Demands:

• Required to walk, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, balance, kneel, reach, grasp, occasionally sit.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
• This position works in a typical office environment and at customers’ sites.
• Ability to drive for extended periods of time throughout the day to travel to customer sites.
• Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
