Job Description

As a Sr Consultant, Finance Data and Analytics in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving development of a robust finance-wide data strategy and analytics roadmap

• Analyzing emerging technologies, and translate implications of latest trends into an effective technology, vision, and strategy

• Translating the business’ data and analytics needs into technical specifications

• Driving definition of technology objectives and recommending industry-leading solutions to support business needs. 

• Partnering with various business stakeholders, technology leads, and external agencies

• Leading application development, clarifying objectives, estimating costs / benefits, decide on technology options, and resolve risks and issues

• Model AbbVie’s empowering, inclusive, and customer-centric culture by establishing and maintaining strong strategic relationships with key stakeholders to improve business processes

• Refining project requirements, estimates, and BTO Demand initiation and coordination

• Enforcing and advocating secure, safe, compliant use of the team’s technologies

Tools and skills you will use in this role:

• JIRA for project management

• Service Now and CMDB for application and incident management

• Power BI

• Strong task, team and project management skills

• Strategic and tactical solution analysis

• Financial planning

• Clear interpersonal communication, proofreading, editing, and formatting skills

Qualifications

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience

• Strong understanding of finance/accounting processes with holistic solutions delivery experience

• Ability to develop effective and compelling visualizations of key business and technology concepts

• Project financial planning and cost estimation experience

• Experience building data and analytics solutions for all levels of a finance organization.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business teams

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

Beneficial

• Experience with SAP BW/BIP

• Experience with PowerBI

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and systems
