Job Description
Our client, a leader in the engineering industry, seeks a dynamic Geotechnical Engineering Project Manager to drive growth and success in the greater San Antonio area, including the San Antonio/Austin IH-35 Corridor.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the project manager for geotechnical projects, overseeing project engineers and maintaining profit and loss responsibilities.
- Prepare scopes of work and proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs.
- Maintain meticulous project records and files to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Specific Duties:
- Lead and mentor a team of geotechnical engineers, ensuring project quality and client satisfaction.
- Develop proposals, manage project budgets (P&L), and nurture strong client relationships.
- Oversee field investigations, drilling coordination, laboratory testing, and data analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical engineering reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Support construction monitoring (CoMET Operations) when needed.
- Train and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 10 years of experience OR Master's degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years of experience.
- Professional Engineer's license (Texas) or ability to obtain within 6 months if licensed out of state.
- Proven expertise in expansive soils, foundation design, over-consolidated clays, stability analysis, local geology, and pavement design.
- Track record of successfully managing diverse projects, including buildings, pipelines, and infrastructure.
