What it's like to be a Jr. Machinist at SSDIAs a Jr. Machinist at Solid State Devices, Inc., you can expect to work Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm. You will assist in the operation and maintenance of machinery, ensuring that production runs smoothly in the machine shop. You will read blueprints and set up machines.
Under the guidance of an experienced Machinist, you will gain hands-on experience in machining techniques and processes. Your attention to detail and willingness to learn will be crucial in this role as you contribute to the manufacturing of state-of-the-art products. J
Requirements foR Jr. MachinistTo succeed as a Jr. Machinist at Solid State Devices, Inc., you must have a minimum of 2 years of working experience as a CNC Machinist. Experience using end mill equipment is required. Tooling, jigs & fixtures, operating a manual lathe and drill press will be essential in this role.
You will assist the manufacturing & engineering departments in meeting their daily and monthly goals by providing machine shop services and tooling support. Understanding the daily, weekly, and monthly needs of the machine shop is crucial. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly shop while ensuring strict adherence to safety rules.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years working experience as CNC Machinist
- Tooling
- Jigs & Fixtures
- Manual Lathe & End Mill Equipment
- Drill Press
- Make sure that the shop is kept clean & orderly and that all safety rules are adhered to
- MUST HAVE BASIC TOOLS OF YOUR OWN (REQUIREMENT)
Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour - Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule (Direct Deposit)
Full-Time Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
