Exciting Career Opportunity: Medical Surgical Director

Schedule:

Day shift, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
Minimum of five years in progressive leadership roles, with at least three years at the director level in a Surgical Teaching Acute Care Hospital (STACH).
Registered Nurse License for the state of Alabama, valid for single state or multistate.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all aspects of our Medical/Surgical Unit, ensuring excellence in patient service delivery and operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and Assistant Chief Nursing Officer to enhance care standards and implement strategic initiatives.
Manage staff development through continuous education, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
Control unit budgets and financial plans, aligning them with the broader financial goals and operational objectives of the hospital.
Champion a collaborative work environment, fostering open communication and a team-oriented approach to healthcare delivery.
Drive innovative solutions in patient care through critical thinking and effective problem-solving strategies.
