Job Description

Geodesicx, Inc. is actively seeking a Quality Control Specialist in the Charleston, SC area for our vehicular C4ISR/EW initiative, a role that is central to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in product design and process execution.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of professional experience in solving complex technical problems, with a strong background in engineering and software design/maintenance. This role demands a practical understanding of engineering concepts to effectively oversee the quality assurance of both products and processes within the project.

Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Specialist's responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities.

  • Integral in testing equipment to ensure that it operates effectively and safely, requiring a keen ability to interpret plans and drawings.
  • A significant part of the role involves contributing to the design and fabrication of test specimens, ensuring they accurately represent the products and systems under review.
  • Candidates must have experience in computer-aided drafting (CAD) and be capable of preparing detailed shop drawings for model construction. A thorough familiarity with material specifications and fabrication methods is also essential, as it informs the approach to both design and quality control.
  • In this position, the specialist will apply their deep knowledge and hands-on skills to ensure that every aspect of the project adheres to stringent quality and safety standards.
  • They will be expected to work collaboratively with various teams, bringing a solution-oriented approach to technical challenges.

The Quality Control Specialist is a key player in the success of the C4ISR/EW systems project, ensuring that all elements are designed, tested, and executed with precision and care, in alignment with the project’s objectives and requirements. This role is ideal for someone who combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience in engineering, software design, and quality control, and who possesses strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements:

Quality Control Specialist II:

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years’ professional experience solving technical problems.
  • Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
  • Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
  • Experience includes testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
  • Individual shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
  • Should have experience in computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.

Quality Control Specialist III:

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years’ professional experience solving technical problems.
  • Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
  • Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
  • Experience includes testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
  • Individual shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
  • Should have experience in computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible to hold and maintain a SECRET clearance.
