Facilities Maintenance Worker

1. Purpose of the Job:

   To perform, manage and direct all maintenance & janitorial functions required at Redeemer Church’s campus, which is 45,000 square feet and almost 12 acres.

2. Experience and Knowledge Required:

   • Have knowledge of construction & maintenance

   • Self-motivated; must be able to set & achieve goals

   • Must be flexible, quick to adapt and able to follow detailed instructions

   • Minor computer skills

   • Must have a servant’s heart and maintain a good attitude in difficult situations

   • Must be, or be willing to become, a member of Redeemer Church

3. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

   • Responsible for the overall cleanliness and upkeep of church property

   • Meet weekly with Administrative team to make sure all items for upcoming weeks are covered (services, projects, outside vendor work, etc.)

   • Main point of contact for all outside facilities and grounds vendors

   • Responsible for room setup for events and meetings as directed, including setting HVAC

   • Responds to all emergencies and makes assessment. Works closely with Director of Administrative Ministries to find a solution when necessary

   • Responsible for developing and following a routine maintenance program

   • As much as possible, assume all responsibility for repair of all electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting. When an issue arises where we do not have the skill/equipment to fix a problem, contact appropriate contractor to do so

   • Maintain janitorial supplies

   • Responsible for building security

   • Responsible for preparing for and facilitating inspections

4. Physical Demands:

   • Must be willing and able to lift 50 lbs
