Customer Service Driver

Job Overview

A Customer Service Driver is primarily in charge of providing customer support, mainly through delivery, pickup, and scheduling with local customers. Their responsibilities typically revolve around answering inquiries, addressing, and troubleshooting problems, maintaining records of all transactions, and referring them to other services when necessary. There are also instances when they must perform follow-up calls, offer products and services, discuss product specifications and promotions, develop sales strategies, and generate leads through research and analysis. Moreover, they must maintain an active communication line with staff for a smooth and efficient workflow

Responsibilities and Duties

• Following delivery driving routes and time schedules
• Drives vehicles transporting orders and materials to designated sites
• Loads delivery vehicles ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
• Maintains vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) ensuring safe operation
• Participates in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
• Accurately record packages in the company ERP system
• Assist with processing orders
• Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know the location of merchandise in the warehouse.
• Ability to communicate effectively and resolve client complaints
• Inform customers about new products and services
• Renting a Box Truck for out-of-town deliveries
• Being on the road 75% of the time
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Customer service experience
• Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Basic Computer skills
• Excellent time management to ensure deliveries are made on Schedule.
• Knowledge of how to handle materials
