Job Description
Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Costa Mesa, CA
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant will perform general accounting functions and provide leadership within the department, especially in the absence of the manager or supervisor. This role requires a thorough knowledge of GAAP principles and, for candidates in the hospital accounting sector, familiarity with OSHPD guidelines for financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting duties and collaborate closely with the accounting team.
Supervise personnel and lead department initiatives when senior management is unavailable.
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and applicable financial reporting guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years accounting experience.
Proficient with general ledger systems.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Familiarity with Hoags current ERP/Financial system.
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
Compensation: $45/Hour
