Make Area/Extruder Operator

The Make area employee is responsible for producing a safe product that meets all customer specifications. 

·       Weighs and Blends raw ingredients for products according to appropriate specifications.

·       Responsible for production of the product according to specifications. This includes the
        operation of the mixer (s).

·       Perform moisture analysis of specified raw material (s) and document results.

·       Maintains equipment according to the maintance schedule.

·       Integral in meeting customers specifications and timelines. 

·       Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly sanitation for the equipment and area as per the SSOP’s.

·       Responsible for documenting actions as necessary for the Food Safety System.

·       Plays a key role in food safety and food defense.

·       Contributes to the team by completing tasks as necessary.

·       Knowledge of extrusion operation and equipment. This includes taking equipment apart, cleaning and re-assembling equipment in

        a safe manner as not to damage the equipment.

·       Able to start up, monitor and shut down the extrusion operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain finished product

        to  specification (eg; weight, surface quality etc.)
