Job Description:


We are looking for people with strong skills in technical and manufacturing support,  preferably in the area of electro-acoustic and electronics products used in underwater applications.  He/she will be working with hardware like power amplifiers, tuning and matching networks, transducer, signal generators, processors and controllers, motors, propellers and actuators, non-acoustic and acoustic sensors, various RF and antenna products and a wide variety of rechargeable and non-rechargeable power sources. Performs production acoustic and pressure testing and supports Test Engineering with maintaining production test fixtures and troubleshooting fallout. 

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician with experience with either military products and/or underwater electro-acoustic products
  • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.  Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.


Desired Skills:

  • Willing and interest in eventually working second shift.
  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Safe, disciplined and effective use of typical and customized laboratory environment equipment, tools, chemicals, potting products and measuring instruments
  • Soldering, crimping, assembly and harness experience
  • Certified or certifiable to IPC 610 & 620, a sound knowledge of ESD handling practices and extensive surface mount experience.
  • Manufacturing and test processes for high reliability military products experience
  • Willing to work closely with design engineers to prototype, test, evaluate and debug electrical circuit card assemblies, electro-acoustic assemblies and systems
  • Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE)
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with configuration management process
  • Willing to read, understand and mark up schematics and assembly drawings
  • Assist in development of engineering and production test procedures and assembly operating procedures.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Willing to lift 50 pounds.
