POSITION SUMMARY:

A server provides timely, accurate, and friendly customer service for all guests. They should have a large food and beverage knowledge. Greeting guests, taking orders, staying attentive to tables and processing payments in a timely manner are key aspects of the role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take food and drink orders from guests- ensuring that special needs/requests are accommodated as possible.
• Remain attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards at all times.
• Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed.
• Learn menu items, recipes, and daily specials in order to answer questions and make recommendation to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness standards in guest area, wait station and kitchen service area.
• Process payments from guests and ensure accuracy of guest checks and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company.
• Attend pre-shifts and departmental meetings in person in order to enhance communications and gain knowledge of products, service, and facility.
• Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and team-oriented demeanor at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years of age or older to serve alcohol (based on state regulations).
• Alcohol certification and Serve Safe a plus!
• Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Good knowledge of the English language is mandatory as well as the ability to speak, read and write clearly. Must be able to read and listen to instructions, memos, short correspondences, and messages.

PHYSICAL ABILITY:

• Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
• Continuous use of hands and arms
• Continuous bending, reaching, and twisting
• Maintains strong personal image and uniform standards
