Job Description

Project and Application Engineering Functions plus Service Support. Works with Internal department and manufacturing personnel along with external customers and vendors. Reports to VP of Engineering,

 

Essential Functions Performed: (Other functions/tasks may be required besides those listed)

 

·        Perform calculations and provide documentation for new application reviews.

·        Create models and engineering drawings in SolidWorks and DraftSite. 

. Update and maintain drawing revision levels and change notices.

·        Maintain engineering standards, work instructions, and bills of material.

·        Identify and qualify new suppliers to be approved suppliers. Manage supplier metrics for critical suppliers.

·        Field support for troubleshooting and commissioning products, systems, and controls.

·        Supervise Testing and Test Plans for production and prototype equipment.

·        Tech Support and assist with troubleshooting and test plans for products.

 * Mechanical engineering knowledge

 * Knowledge of electrical and control systems

 * Knowledge of hydraulic systems

 * Communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills

 * Planning and Organization skills for both self and others

 * Ability to Travel Internationally (must hold a valid Passport)

 * “Hands-On” mechanical ability

 * Judgement (ability to provide sound decisions based upon logical analysis, facts, and inputs from others)

 * Decisiveness (readiness to make decisions, take action, or commit oneself) 

 * Problem-solving skills (ability to identify problems, analyze for cause, and develop solutions)

 * Sales ability/persuasiveness (uses appropriate interpersonal styles and communication to gain agreement,

   acceptance or commitment from various parties inside and outside the organization)

 * Interpersonal relationship development and maintenance with personnel, customers, and vendors

 * PC skills, including SolidWorks, Office 365, AutoCAD

 

 

Minimum Education Level, Type, Certification & Specific Experience :

 

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Three to five years experience in an Engineering design or applications role

Strong SolidWorks Skills

Mechanical Background

Knowledge of Engineering Tools and Test Equipment

 

JOB CONDITIONS / REQUIREMENTS - Hours, Travel, Physical, Tools, etc.:

 

Overnight and occasional international travel

General office/shop environment and regular work hours

Field Service and Commissioning in marine and industrial industries

TWIC Eligibility and ability to pass background checks for access to secure facilities.
