Pro-Tops is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in QuickBooks and a proven track record in managing accounts payable processes efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy.
Obtain necessary approvals for invoices before processing payments.
Prepare and perform weekly check runs or electronic payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
Assist in maintaining vendor master data in QuickBooks.
Provide support for audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries related to accounts payable.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a corporate setting.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with other accounting software is a plus.
