An Architectural Project Coordinator is responsible for design and production of architectural construction documents under the supervision of a Sr. Project Coordinator/Project Manager/Project Architect, including design, set up and coordination of the documents, based on standard architectural/engineering practices and applicable codes.


Requirements:

An Architectural Project Coordinator II shall have a minimum high school level diploma and drafting and design experience in an architectural/ engineering office. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit and an understanding of architecture/engineering, building construction, knowledge of the applicable codes and an understanding of their interpretation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce architectural details, construction documents, and specifications.
  • Complete designated scope of work within allotted hours and deadline.
  • Delegate, review, manage and accept responsibility for work of members on team.
  • Manage and assist the permitting process, including response to comments for architecture and consultants.
  • Manage, with minimal assistance, the bidding procedures.
  • Provide administrative assistance and field assistance with Construction Administration.
  • Mentoring and coaching other team members.
  • May have client contact.

Skills:

  • Research and apply applicable codes, limited interaction with code enforcement agencies.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, including running a kickoff meeting.
  • Receive and assimilate project information from the Project Manager and/or the client.
  • Work with Project/Program Manager to provide appropriate level of customer service to the client.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal are required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, able to handle stressful situations and multi-tasking, able to work under time constraints, long hours may be required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, and working within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets. Will work in normal office environment and may also be required to work outside of a normal office from time-to-time.
