This position will submit, obtain, and maintain EPA pesticides federally as well as oversee the State registration program. They will also provide to the upper management individual federal active ingredient/ pesticide product updates that will/could affect Drexel pesticide products registered at EPA. The Registration Department Manager will provide knowledgeable and accurate interpretations of EPA, regulations and registration requirements affecting Drexel’s registered pesticide products. This position also provides leadership with interpretation of federal laws and regulations to ensure that adequate registration requirements are met, and that no violations occur affecting the development of, and sales and marketing of products. They will be responsible keeping and maintaining accurate records
The employee's primary duties are performed on-site, during normal working hours of general business operations of Drexel and Drexel’s customers. This position requires discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.
Typical Daily responsibilities:
· Manages EPA registration and directs state registration specialist activities for Drexel Chemical Co.
· Interacts with laboratory and Product development personnel to provide guidance and information needed.
· Manages processes to maintain records for all Drexel bulk pesticide facilities including filing of new EPA establishment numbers, once approved provides appropriate information to EPA SSTS database personnel for update posting etc.
· Directs and manages EPA label approval process for all required government levels (local, state and federal).
· Serves as subject matter expert and provides management with new and evolving data on technical registrations and/or end use labels.
· Monitors and reports on registration activities impacting Drexel business through NPIRS
· Manages state registration personnel and their duties accordingly
· Reviews and approves product label text and proof of printer's draft to ensure compliance with EPA requirements regarding pesticides regulations.
· Coordinates with Government Affairs, Legal and Executive team on public comment periods surrounding pesticides of interest.
· Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance at all levels.
· Manages computerized records of registration for all products.
· Ensures internal databases are up to date with latest registrations.
· Manages distribution of updated registration information to departments, divisions and business units.
· Monitors changes in federal and state regulations for product labeling by written and personal contact with regulatory agencies and determines updates that need to be made to labels.
· Researches and provides guidance on laws and regulations to ensure registration requirements are met and no violations occur affecting the development of and sales and marketing of Drexel products and ensures accurate records are consistently maintained
· Provides maintenance to existing products registrations due to new regulations through the amendment and notification process.
· Amends product labels as directed by EPA or requested by Product Managers.
· Manages and supports with information to marketing for supplemental distribution with Drexel customers.
· Reviews vendor acute tox and product chemistry data for registration support.
· Assists in obtaining and maintaining registration of EPA establishments.
Education and experience needed for this position
· Bachelor's degree is required.
· Minimum of 10 years of EPA regulatory experience is required.
· Five years minimum of leadership experience is preferred as well.
