Inside / Outside Sales Associate (Trucking Industry)

Verduyn Tarps Chicago/Gary LLC is looking for a Sales Professional in the Trucking Industry who is familiar with equipment used in the trucking industry.

This equipment could be:

• tarps or tarping systems,
• the various types of cargo equipment used in the trucking industry,
• storage products for semi trucks and trailers etc.

This sales professional will be responsible for aiding customers both in person as well as over the phone. The successful candidate will also be required to find potential customers and make cold calls or emails to these customers to introduce our company and demonstrate how we can best help them solve their problems with our products. Properly merchandising the showroom and keeping control of inventory is also a requirement.

Qualifications:

This sales professional must be:

• confident,
• knowledgeable,

• charismatic,
• a problem solver and
• have a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor.

They will need to have strong computer and internet skills and be very familiar with all Microsoft programs, accounting software, and CRMs and a minimum of 1 to 2 years of prior related sales experience.

• They must also have outstanding verbal and written communication skills including spelling and math accuracy.
• They must also be able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to speak a second language such as Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian etc. is a definite asset.
