Job Description

Machine Operator

Location: Timberlake Area

Starting rate of $16.50 per hour

Work schedule: Must be able to work Monday through Friday with some Saturdays

12-hour shifts from 8:45 am to 6 pm

Our client has been an established leader in the Timberlake Area for over 5 years. In line with their commitment to quality and expansion, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join their team.

Position Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We're seeking a Machine Operator to manage, set up, operate, and monitor cigarette-making machines, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency. Your role will involve coordinating various machine components to produce high-quality consumer goods while promptly reporting equipment malfunctions to supervisory personnel.

Responsibilities:

Adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure, temperature, and material flow.
Control machinery functions, monitoring air pressure, vacuum creation, and coolant flow.
Activate machinery using control buttons and vigilantly monitor operations for malfunctions.
Oversee tobacco blends, filter rods, and paper materials for cigarette production.
Review work orders and specifications for precise manufacturing procedures and adjustments.
Collaborate with the Manager of Cigarette Making Operations when standards aren't met.
Clear jams and remove defective materials, conducting minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
Load materials into machines and stack finished products for further processing.
Record production data and maintain quality control documentation.
Ensure high-quality, flawless products through constant monitoring and adjustments.

Requirements:

Previous tobacco industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to lift light or heavy loads and perform repetitive motions.
Strong attention to detail, essential for monitoring multiple machine components.
Good eyesight for quality checks and a fast-paced work style.
Capability to work overtime or additional shifts to meet production requirements.
Team player with excellent coordination, dependability, and reliability.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
