A well-established aluminum and steel trailer manufacturer is looking to hire Aluminum MIG Welder. As an Aluminum MIG Welder you will be responsible for preparing work surfaces, selecting appropriate welding equipment, performing welding operations and ensuring safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience performing welds on aluminum and steel materials.

What You’ll Be Doing

Performs MIG welding on aluminum and steel materials
Inspects assembly/components for conformance of specifications
Selects appropriate welding wire, gas, and other materials based on the type and thickness of aluminum and steel being welded
Uses basic hand tools such as a measuring tape and other specialty equipment
Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to understand project specifications
Cleans and prepares surfaces for welding by removing contaminants such as dirt, oil, and rust
Positions and secures workpieces using clamps, jigs, or fixtures to ensure proper alignment and fit-up
Sets up welding machines based on job specifications and requirements
Completes other job duties as assigned

Who We’re Looking For

Ability to pass T Joint, Lap joint and Down Hand Flat Position Test
Must have relevant vocational training
Welding certificate preferred
Standard PPE including steel toe boots or shoes, welding hoods and gloves

What You Can Expect

$18.00 - $22.00/hr depending on experience
Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm, occasional Saturdays
