Job Description: 1st & 2nd Shift Digital Web Printing Press Operator
The Digital Web Printing Press Operator is a skilled operator whose role is to ensure that customers’ printed products are produced correctly, efficiently and at the highest level of quality. Digital press operators are a key part of the manufacturing team, operating State of the Art Digital Web Presses and works closely with others to ensure that company standards and customer specifications are upheld.
Responsibilities:
Produces high quality print jobs as specified on order ticket
Communicates job specific information or changes to the pressroom supervisor in a timely manner to minimize production downtime
Produce jobs which match customer proofs and color standards
Correctly inputs all job related data into Press GUI
Always keeps work area clean and organized
Correctly completes routine operator level maintenance
Performs additional duties assigned by the Supervisor completely and without reservation
Learns and follows all applicable SOPs
Strictly adheres to all safety procedures
Ability to multitask in order to complete daily tasks and meet deadlines
Understands Four/Color Process Printing, able to adjust color to match standard
Sets work priorities based on the production schedule
Respects the equipment
Proactive and takes initiative to meet or exceed expectations
Use computer systems, tools, and specialized software to set up/make ready the press
Operation of Press equipment to supplied specifications and instructions; logging and managing necessary raw materials. Retrieving and managing roll stock as needed.
Maintaining production by planning and organizing jobs
Examine job ticket to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors and special instructions.
Examine printed copy for quality, density, correct registration and position.

Salary: Starting at $20.00 and up per hour
Schedule:
1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift available
Monday to Friday (8-hour shift)
Experience:
2 years (Preferred) - Willing to work with candidates that are motivated to learn and is seeking long term employment.
