Overview:

As an Ultrasound Technician at our facility in [Location], you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. You will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce and record images used by physicians to diagnose or monitor various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and positioning them appropriately
Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images of internal organs, tissues, or blood flow
Ensure images meet quality standards for accurate diagnostic interpretation
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review and interpret ultrasound images
Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Provide patient education and support throughout the imaging process
Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functionality
Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
Stay current with new techniques and equipment in ultrasound technology

Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree in ultrasound technology or related field
ARDMS certification in sonography
State licensure or certification as required
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician
Proficiency in performing abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, and vascular ultrasound procedures
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Ability to operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in image capture and documentation
Commitment to patient care and comfort
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Understanding of medical ethics and patient confidentiality
