Description
The Lead Technician will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing a range of installation, training, QC and support for new construction, moves/add/changes, service, rollouts, and special projects. The Lead Technician will be responsible for overall quality control of service, installations, and regional rollouts through on-site involvements on projects. After hours project coverage and travel will be required.

Qualifications
Education and Training
Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on field experience and/or cabling project management experience. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Technical Requirements
Must have a structured cabling certification (i.e., BICSI) or equivalent structured cabling experience. Knowledge of Cat 5 cable certification is necessary. LAN and telephone, including associated network device installation quality standards would be helpful.
Personal Attributes
A self-starter with initiative and problem-solving skills to run field projects with minimum direction. Must have self-control to handle stress and provide exceptional customer service. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task and availability to work outside of normal scheduled work hours and ability to travel to achieve quality and schedule demands required.
Experience
Position requires a minimum of 5 years structured cabling field experience and in depth understanding of cabling equipment installation standards.

Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site field surveys at customer premises to scop customer work as needed
- Perform installation and service work on customer site, as necessary and assigned
- Conduct field quality control inspections, surveys, and audits to ensure customer specifications are achieved on product or system installations and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Provide support and direction to other technicians in the field, supervising work performed and checking for accuracy and quality of work.
- Serve as a technical liaison between Telaid and client locations in your assigned area. Resolve issues at the lowest level; escalate issues as required to ensure client satisfaction.
- Train subcontractors and Telaid technicians on theory and practices for reliable quality installations.
- Maintain company vehicle.
- Complete administrative job requirements in a timely fashion.
- Provide Telaid cabling management and Niantic Corporate office management with written reports and updates as needed and directed.
- Conduct other work-related duties as assigned.
