Sheet Metal Estimator / Project Manager

Aero Mechanical, Inc. seeks to add an Estimator/PM to our team of professionals in our RC Metalworks division to assist in the preparation of bid proposals for our construction jobs.  The Estimator/PM will be team-focused, detail oriented, and understand methods and processes of estimating.  Ideal for an experienced Estimator or Sheet Metal Journeyman looking for steady year-round employment in an estimating position.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Estimator/PM reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Ensures the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all phases of design and construction.
• Analyzes architectural drawings, performs material takeoffs, obtains material pricing, and conforms to specifications.
• Collects and analyzes data on all of the factors which may affect costs, such as materials, labor, location, duration of the project, utilities, etc.
• Develops an estimate for each project based on the site and building plan parameters and submits it for approval.
• Creates and maintains detailed bid documents
• Develops & maintains positive relationships with suppliers, sub-contractors and customers.
• Performs some Project Management of jobs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of relevant experience is required or equivalent experience and education.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or trade license preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Estimating software (i.e. Wendes) would be helpful.
