Our a client a Non-Profit organizations serving metro Detroit located inDearborn, Michigan is seeking for a limited or full license Clinical Therapist to be part of their clinical team. Under general supervision, the Therapist utilizes extensive expertise to conduct professional casework, offering intensive therapy for complex social issues and treatment plans. Performs various social work tasks including assessment interviews, counseling, and case evaluation. Determines suitable treatment methods and offers social services to individuals, groups, or families, along with referrals to community services or financial aid. Provides clear interpretations of program guidelines through client orientation and maintains accurate records in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Salary: $58,000- $70,000.
Location: Dearborn, Michigan.
Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for clients
- Conduct therapeutic interventions and psychological testing as needed
- Interpret assessment and diagnosis results for clients
- Ensure understanding of treatment plans and goals
- Participate in treatment team conferences and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Research and provide referrals for additional services as needed
- Coordinate services and follow up to ensure program compliance
- Document all services in compliance with agency standards
- Report on program progress as required
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy in accordance with regulations 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA
- Stay updated on psychosocial rehabilitation techniques
- Follow funding source requirements and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards applicable to the services provided
- Conduct group therapy sessions when necessary
- May sign off on patient charts if fully licensed
- May supervise interns if fully licensed
- May conduct psychological testing and substance abuse counseling as appropriate
- Provide translation and interpretation for non-English speaking clients as needed
- Lead and mentor paraprofessionals, clerical staff, and interns
- Ensure clients in substance abuse treatment programs receive necessary clinical care
- Operate office equipment and use required software applications
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
Education/Experience Requirements
- Minimum Degree Required:
- Masters degree
- Required Disciplines:
- Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working in a mental health setting as a Full Licensed Master Social Worker, Full Licensed Professional Counselor, Full Licensed Psychologist, or any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human Resources
Licenses/Certifications:
1 of the following Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- Limited License Professional Counselor (LLPC)
- Limited License Master Social Worker (LLMSW)
