Speech Language Pathologist

Innovative Therapy 4 Kids (IT4K) is looking for an organized, energetic Speech Therapist in our internationally renowned, pediatric practice in San Diego, California. With our multidisciplinary approach, we have the ability to work in a variety of different settings, such as public and private schools, community sites, and at our state-of-the-art clinic. In addition to individual treatment, our innovative services include specialized summer groups and programs, early intervention programs, and a social skills training program with a strong community integration component. Speech & Language Pathologist

Applicant qualifications and abilities:

• Assessing and treating swallowing and communication difficulties arising from a variety of causes.
• Ability to review and revise IEP and 504 goals/ objectives along with the implementation of revisions.
• Identifying developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders.
• Devising, implementing and revising relevant treatment programs.
• Implementing treatment programs and training to parents/professionals in therapy delivery.
• Assessing communication environments.
• Monitoring and evaluating clients’ progress.
• Working with clients on a one-to-one basis as well as in groups to deliver therapy.
• Writing and maintaining confidential client case notes and reports, as well as information for clients and other professionals.
• Managing a caseload taking account of priority cases, waiting lists, successful outcomes, referral and discharge of service users.
• Working with others to improve the effectiveness of service delivery.
• Supporting/supervising newly qualified speech and language therapists and speech and language therapy assistants.
• Setting organizational and personal objectives.
• Planning and delivering training sessions.
• Contributing to the implementation and evaluation of projects and developments.
• Participating in research projects
