Job Description

Kinesio Way Chiropractic is seeking a dedicated and skilled team member to join our solid, results-driven team. We are seeking an Athletic Trainer (ATC) or experienced Manual Therapist (LMT) to join our team as both a Manual Therapist and Shockwave Tech. Ideal candidate has experience and knowledge in Shockwave Therapy and can generally begin clinical care with patients almost immediately. We will train for our specific protocols, and we will continually support you as you grow in your training here with us. If you are confident and skilled in corrective manual therapy protocols, ultrasound and TENS, but do not have any experience with shockwave therapy, we can offer training for shockwave protocols.

This role involves delivering exceptional clinical care. Primary role will be as an EPAT Shockwave Tech, but also doing manual therapy, stretching modalities, electrical stim, taping, corrective exercise and rehab as needed for overall support of our Chiropractic Physician and our Lead Athletic Trainer. This is a developing position, and we would like to see what you can bring to our office as a baseline, and how we can develop this position quickly to meet the needs of our office. This position requires a high level of anatomy and physiology knowledge, confidence and comfort in clinical patient care, empathy and patience, and the ability to take constructive criticism and guidance as we develop your position into the most effective and dynamic role we can for the success of the office.

This position is intended to add dimension to our existing patient care and expand on the high-level of therapy that our patients already receive. You will also cross-train with our Front Desk Patient Coordinator in basic yet critical administrative tasks including scheduling, phone and email correspondence, checking patients in and out of their appointments, basic organization, and managing private medical records; to contribute your influence on a seamless patient experience in our office. This position requires the ability to pivot, adjust, and continually learn and refine not only your professional skill in clinical care, but also to collaboratively contribute to an evolving, professional environment that is in the beginning stages of a significant growth spurt.

Pay is negotiable and dependent on skill/ credentials.

Requirements:

- 3 + years experience as an ATC or 5+ years as an LMT with direct patient clinical care.

- Experience/ knowledge of Sports Chiropractic, and Corrective Manual Therapy.

- Basic understanding of Applied Kinesiology, Acupuncture and Shockwave, and/ or the dedication to learning.

- 3+ years experience with either a PT clinic or similar, or chiropractic office including; administrative tasks required of a successful medical office including HIPAA, EHR, office, data entry, email and phone correspondence, scheduling.

- Knowledge/ competence in general EHR software

- Able to work in a team environment, sometimes in small/ close spaces.

- Dependable transportation

- Punctuality and dependability with schedule

Position characteristics:
- 16- 32 hours weekly availability (2-4 days). This is a part-time position that ideally can develop into full-time quickly for the right candidate. Hours will depend on office and staffing needs. Once the schedule is agreed upon, your schedule will remain consistent, so that you can depend on your work schedule.
- Compensation: $24-28+ p/hr to start (based on skill, experience & responsibility load). This position can offer additional pay structure to the right candidate depending on experience as your proficiency grows.

- Our team’s health is 100% priority and you will receive regular chiropractic care as part of your compensation.
- Work shifts vary; generally 6-8 hour long shifts, M-F between the hours of 830am- 630pm.
- Closed weekends & most major holidays. (Occasional weekend community events can be expected.)

Responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the chiropractor(s) in all aspects of patient care modalities within your scope of practice as an ATC/ LMT.

- Following HIPAA guidelines for patient care and records management.

- Maintaining required CEU's to maintain your credentialing status as an ATC/ LMT.

- Using medical software for accurate patient care documentation and coordination of care between ATC, DC, and other clinicians.

- Using medical software for appointment management, billing, and patient records management.

- Communicating important information confidently and intelligently from doctor to patient and vice versa, for overall seamless care; includes topics such as rehab, referrals, nutrition, supplements, and/ or self- care.

- Dedication to compassionate and seamless patient care.

- Maintaining the flow of patients in the waiting area, to support the Front Desk Team during high-traffic hours.

- Greeting and engaging with patients to assist in positive patient experiences.

- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of the entire office, bathrooms, therapy rooms and equipment as a collaborative team effort for a high-level patient experience.

- High level of pro-active multi-tasking & time management.

- Independent problem-solving abilities to keep the office flowing seamlessly, despite unanticipated obstacles.

- Maintaining a mature, fun and energetic work ethic and collaborative work ethos.

- Candid communication, both receiving and delivering.

- Health-centered and grounded personality that reflects our overall brand.

- Maintaining professional dialogue with our patients and vendors, which includes not engaging in any disruptive conversations that deflect from a positive, professional and health-centered, upbeat vibe of the office. This includes keeping your private personal matters private from patients both during and outside of business hours.

- Maintaining a professional, mature and positive team environment, including not sharing private matters with team members while on premise, especially during business hours, near patients, staff or vendors.

- Experience in health & fitness, spas, physical therapy, medical clinics and/ or holistic health care a BIG PLUS.
