House Administrator/Resident Manager

THIRA Health - Kirkland, WA

Job Type: Full-time
 

The House Administrator/Resident Manager will be responsible for the operational oversight of THIRA Health patients in an adult family home (AFH residential) for Eating Disorder patients. The Resident Manager will also manage assigned support staff.  

  

Job Duties: 

  • Provide all oversight and management of AFH services
  • Conduct coordination of care and participate in coordination with patient providers (ex. Therapists, Prescribers, Dietitians, etc.); schedule residential patients with outside appointments as needed 
  • Oversee new patient admission to residential facility; coordinate initial residential service plan with assigned providers; Support patient discharge procedures 
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team to create treatment plans and implement recommendations   
  • Oversee each patient daily schedule; maintain visitation schedule based on negotiated care plan for family & friend visitation 
  • Coordinate and facilitate all required meals at adult family home for each patient with facility Nutrition team including: purchase/maintain food inventory, supervise meal/snacks, observe, document, and report eating behaviors and progress to Nutrition Team; maintain all food and kitchen space compliance; participate in DOH inspections; wash dishes, complete meal/kitchen clean-up; basic food preparation tasks, etc. 
  • Support patients with health and medication needs 
  • Oversee all patient transportation logistics to and from the treatment facility and residential home; coordinate all driving responsibilities, with or without patients, as needed 
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner using electronic medical record MicroMD   
  • Manage all residential direct-care staff work schedules to ensure consistent, required program coverage 
  • Provide on-call schedule coverage coordination for residential direct-care team as needed including the provision of missing coverage if/as needed 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Twenty-one (21) years of age or greater
  • Active licensure in the State of Washington as a  Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN) OR
  • Active licensure in the State of Washington as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), OR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, as provided in RCW 28B.50.536, plus completion of the following:
    • Minimum of one-thousand hours (1,000 hrs.) of successful direct care experience in the previous sixty months (obtained after age of eighteen) to vulnerable adults in a licenses or contracted setting
    • Residential Long-Term Care Services Training, unless exempt under WAC 426-980-025 and
    • Home Care Aid Certification before assuming duties of the position 
  • Completion of DSHS-required Mental Health Specialist Training before assuming duties of the role 
  • WA State Food Handler’s Permit and/or complete applicable food safety training 
  • Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and the ability to transport patients safely in facility vehicles 
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (Federal & State)
  • Completed tuberculosis screening before hire with results satisfactory to regulatory bodies and as required by law 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Hospital and/or healthcare administration experience
  • Management and/or supervisory experience
  • Experience working in IPU, AFH, IOP and/or PHP
  • Experience with Eating Disorder patients
