Lighting Assembly and Production Specialist

We are seeking a Lighting Production And Assembly Specialist to become an integral part of our team!

52+ year old company specializing in manufacturing decor and UL certified lighting for restaurants, retail establishments and household use seeking an Assembly Specialist in the Lighting division. Candidate will primarily be involved in the preparation of lighting component parts and assembly of lighting fixtures under the company's UL files.

Experience in assembly of electrical components highly desirable. Candidate must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced warehouse / manufacturing environment. Ability to speak and write English fluently. Ability to read blueprints and plans, electrical schematic diagrams and able to write proper wiring instructions. Some warehouse duties may also be required: light lifting, packaging and crating items, labeling and loading some lighting pallets for shipping or storage.

Candidate will maintain safety in the workplace and maintain quality standards for all products.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and with others to assemble entire products or components
• Rotate through tasks for specific production processes
• Conduct quality inspections on products and parts
• Prepare finished products for shipment
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Assist Warehouse staff in lighting stocking and organization
• Maintain all records, administrative tasks under UL files and company requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields
• Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to work well independently - self motivated and self starter
• works well in a team environment to integrate the Lighting production into the shipping schedule
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and flexibility to adjust to changing production deadlines
• can creatively find solutions to manufacturing challenges
• Lighting design skills a plus
• can work well with inspectors to pass testing requirements
