Medical Insurance Verification Specialist - Remote

Oregon Integrated Health is an Integrated Primary Care Medical Home that is hiring for a Full Time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist.

Our clinics are a team of primary care and alternative care providers that serve a demographic of Medicaid and Medicare Oregonians.

Our Integrated Medical Homes consist of Medical Doctor, Family Nurse Practitioners and Naturopathic Physicians, Licensed Professional Counselors, Behavioral Health Clinicians, Chiropractor, Acupuncture, Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist.

Full-time remote position, with travel to Portland once a quarter for Administrative meeting.

Attends remote multi-department staff meetings.

Verifies patient insurance information and demographics including coordination of benefits.

Contacts patient to verify updated and missing insurance and demographic information.

Accepts patient calls regarding insurance and eligibility.

Assists other departments with eligibility questions.

Assists with patient billing.

Other duties, as assigned.

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Required Experience: One (1) year experience in insurance verification, billing or related medical office duties preferred.

Skills: Computer literacy Phone etiquette. Good communication skills (oral and written)
