Job Summary: Registered Nurses are responsible for providing nursing care to patients and their families in accordance with the American Nurse's Association Standards of Professional Nursing Practice. The Registered Nurse is expected to provide nursing care for patients and to assume responsibility for other nursing care process by assessment, plan of care, intervention and evaluation.
Specifications: Bachelors degree required in nursing. Must have and maintain current licensure in the State of Rhode Island, and any other credentials or certifications necessary to be competent in area of specialty, such as CPR, ACLS, and Conscious Sedation Certification. Three years experience in endoscopy preferred. Must be able to lift or move patients (with assistance) in and out of beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs and be able to push, pull and lift equipment related to department. Must be proficient in the English language.
