Position Summary
The Line Service Technician supports all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews and passengers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Fuel aircraft in accordance with specifications and fuel quality control standards
- Qualify for and maintain Airport SIDA and valid driver’s license.
- Operate vehicles and golf carts.
- Tow and marshal aircraft
- Ensure aircraft are chocked, locked and secure.
- Perform aircraft lavatory and potable water service.
- Load/unload baggage
- Assist pilots with aircraft pre and post flight services.
- Top off fuel trucks and fill out proper fuel farm paperwork.
- Operate ground support equipment.
- Perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to facility cleaning, vehicle washing, aircraft cleaning and vacuuming.
- Communicate clearly and concisely using two-way radios to relay messages.
- Sump trucks to check for water and contaminants daily.
- Ensure that all fuel trucks are fully prepared to operate safely and efficiently.
- Accurately make records of all fueling activities in compliance with current procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly flight line free of FOD and safety hazards.
- Provide basic security to people and property.
- Direct people, drivers and flight crews on ramp area
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interact with professionalism and discretion with clientele.
- Must be able to work independently and problem solve issues as they arise.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Skilled at managing customer demands and crisis with poise.

- Ability to work in a team driven environment.
- Must be comfortable with working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions.
Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One year work experience
- Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience using software programs such as TotalFBO and FlightBridge, preferred.
- Experience flight scheduling/dispatching in part 91 or 135 operation, preferred.
Physical Demands
- Performing somewhat strenuous daily activities.
- Stepping up/down on ladders, tugs and fuel trucks.
· Lift baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft.
· Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment.
· Stooping below wings to chock aircraft.
· Standing and walking for extended periods of time, running when needed.
· Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision.
· Frequent lifts or pulls of up to 75 pounds are normal and the physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling.
- Exerting up to 70 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
Work Environment
- Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
- Moderate interior noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
- Outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, high heat, etc.)
- Loud (examples: aircraft running, high pitch engines)
