Position Summary

This is a part-time Tutor/Administrative position. You will be responsible for teaching K-12 (and sometimes college) students using our curriculum in an individualized setting and communicating with the rest of the Huntington Learning Center team and parents on the progress of the student’s progress. .Additionally, this position will assist with administrative duties. We provide flexible scheduling and provide compensated training and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

Assess student's program and support students in areas of need.
Support students with homework, prepare for exams, or working on key foundational concepts.
Write and maintain daily progress case notes on each student.
Prepare progress reports for parent conferences.
Fill in for other tutors as needed.
Assist with administrative duties (e.g., phones, scheduling, monthly invoices, etc.)
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
Experience teaching in a public school or tutoring center (middle-high school math school level tutoring a plus) but not required.
Outstanding communication skills with enthusiastic, outgoing and team-oriented personality.
Comfortable with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel and Word.
Comfortable facilitating student sessions and knowledgeable in general subject areas for K-12 grades.
