Job Description

Modena Restaurant in downtown DC is looking to hire an experienced Host. We are an approachable fine-dining Italian restaurant that serves dinner Monday through Saturday and lunch Tuesday through Friday. We do not serve brunch, and we are closed on Sundays.

We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented applicants with at least a year of restaurant experience. Applicants should have a passion for creativity and the hospitality business.

A host is the first face and voice to connect with our guests. Must be friendly, able to think fast and manage a busy door, communicate well with the whole team and provide excellent hospitality to guests. Experience with Resy or OpenTable is preferred, and strong communications skills are essential.

Responsibilities Include:
• Contributing to a dedicated fine-dining team

• Providing guests with the highest level of hospitality

• Taking instructions from management

• Effectively relay communications between guests and restaurant staff
