Radiologic Technologist PRN - No Nights or Weekends!!!

We have an immediate need for a part time Radiology Technologist for our growing surgery center in South Austin, TX 78749.

We perform specialties such as Pain Management, Spine, Cataracts, and Plastic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by keeping up with continuing education and continuing to learn.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
• Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid, and using the emergency cart.
• Works with other clinical staff and physician to deliver exceptional patient care
• Fill out all of the required paperwork for each procedure or radiographic exam including any studies that the facility may be participating in.
• Assist in retrieving and stocking supplies for procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

The ideal candidate has previous experience with a C-Arm and/or in Interventional Pain Management. We are willing to train the right person.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Surgical setting as an X-ray Technologist.
• Graduate from an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Sciences.
• Current ARRT certification as well as Texas Medical Board License.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• High attention to detail and strong time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task under pressure efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work autonomously in a small group, but be a team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Pay rate: Starting at $36 per hour | Depending on experience

Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 4 pm and Friday 8 am to 12 pm

Location: South Austin, TX 78749

Travel: Marble Falls, TX 78654 as needed (paid mileage)
