Job Summary

The Software Quality Engineer will be part of the R&D team and will design and develop automated tests to ensure better test coverage, faster testing cycles, with a high degree of quality. He/She will conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the software will be delivered with high quality.

Duration: 1-year contract

Duties and Responsibilities   

• Responsible for defining, implementing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases to ensure the software will be delivered with high quality.
• Develop Automated Tests using Selenium or similar automation tools.
• Evaluate and Execute Manual test cases for release items and regression testing.
• Replicates, reports, and verifies defect fixes.
• Reviews functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Follow Quality guidelines, processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Identifies any potential quality issues per defined process and escalates potential quality issues.
• Identify areas of improvement related to quality within the R&D Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience. 
• 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience. 
• Strong SQL and database skills for writing queries and investigating data related issues.
• Scripting experience using programming languages such as Python, C#, PowerShell etc.
• Experience testing APIs using tools such as PostMan.
• Excellent knowledge in software quality assurance and system testing tools
• Proficient in SDLC standards, policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
