NH Job Corps is looking to hire Residential Advisors! We are currently looking for our next Residential Advisor! The Hybrid RA will work the following schedule:

Saturday and Sunday: 8am-5pm, Monday: 3pm-12am, Tuesday and Wednesday: 1130pm-830am, OFF on Thursday and Friday.

NHJC has an exciting opening in our Manchester location for a Residential Advisor, Hybrid Shift. In this role you will be responsible for working with Residential team to provide students on respective dormitory with a safe, clean and structured living environment that fosters student retention, satisfaction, achievement and success. Provides individualized case management to maintain student enrollment and success in the program.

What you will be accomplishing in our team environment

· Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.

· Maintains a safe and clean dorm environment.

· Provides quality supervision to students in the dormitory.

· Ensures the accuracy and completeness of incident and shift reports.

· Ensures the physical security of the dorm area and reports concerns to dorm supervisor.

· Active member on case management and success teams to ensure student success in the program.

· Initiates work orders to make necessary repairs as required and follows-up with maintenance to ensure completion.

· May transport students to and from Center.

· Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.

· Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.

· Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population and positively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.

· Provides timely operational support for Center operations to ensure quality programs and services. Pursues improvement in Center operations to fulfill program objectives.

· Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Advanced degrees preferred
  • Department of Labor approval required
  • Ability to speak and read the English language
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when unclear on what to do.
  • Work effectively as a team member.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
