Geochemist
- Full-Time
The Geochemist will work primarily in a laboratory environment with the CTO to investigate geochemical processes in the geothermal, mining and CO2 sequestration industries. The individual will lead the investigation of CO2 sequestration potential, conduct analysis of geochemical datasets for geothermal exploration, and collaborate on projects for in-situ rare earth element and mineral recovery. The individual will work closely with our industry and academic partners to investigate the geochemical processes for in-situ mineral recovery. The scope of work includes preparing proposals and grants for US funding opportunities, laboratory investigation of electro-chemical processes for mineral recovery, evaluation and assessment of geothermal resource potential from geochemical analysis, and investigation of geochemical processes for enhanced CO2 sequestration. The successful candidate will demonstrate their knowledge and experience with electro- and thermo-chemical processes, fluid-rock interactions, and CO2 mineralization. This role can be remote with occasional travel.
