Responsibilities

• Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine equipment placement and installation procedures.
• Measure and cut ductwork, pipes, and tubing to ensure proper fit and sizing.
• Assemble and install HVAC components, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, compressors, and ductwork.
• Connect electrical wiring and controls to HVAC equipment, ensuring proper voltage and current.
• Install refrigerant lines, gas lines, and drainage systems in accordance with safety and building codes.
• Insulate and seal ducts, pipes, and equipment to optimize system efficiency.
• Test HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and meet performance standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment as needed, including diagnosing and resolving issues with heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and lubricating moving parts.
• Provide excellent customer service, including explaining system operation and maintenance to clients.
• Maintain accurate records of installation and maintenance activities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and contractors on larger installation projects.
• Comply with all local and national HVAC codes and regulations.

Job requirements

• A minimum of one year of residential retrofit replacement experience
• General construction experience is a plus
• Computer skills are a plus
• EPA certified or willing to obtain certification
• NATE certification (a plus)
• Driver's license and a clean driving record
• Must pass a drug test
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
