Porter

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a Part Time Porter/Maintenance Tech for Laurel Commons in Laurel, Delaware! Positions consist of approximately 20 hours of work per week.

Applicants who are qualified for this position have basic maintenance experience. Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting are a plus. It is imperative that the Porter be able to work independently and also as a member of a team.

This position is responsible for keeping the building and grounds clean and assisting the Maintenance Technicians when needed. In addition to grounds, the position will assist with technical maintenance tickets, assist with unit turnovers and be part of the after-hours on-call rotation. Hourly wage is dependent on experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Energetic, self-motivated individual who is able to work as a team
• Basic maintenance experience is desired; experience painting, drywall, basic electrical & plumbing are a plus
• Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation
