Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will design and maintain production layouts, and plan/implement NPI assembly and machining lines. Create and maintain processes, assembly tooling, and assembly line layout to coordinate activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuation projects. Ensures process design supports manufacturing of products that meet quality standards while minimizing production problems and costs. Develops and maintains manufacturing line layouts for maximizing space, efficiency, and effectiveness. Ensures compliance with industry safety and design standards and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Creation and maintaining of SOP or work instructions per ISO formatting.
*Create/Maintain production flow visual controls and procedures.
*Tooling Preventative Maintenance organization.
*Lean Process design including lean tool/process implementation value stream mapping, Kanban boards and bin systems.
*Review KPI and creating sustaining/improvement projects per internal PPI process.
*Training production teams with specific certification criteria.
*Manufacturing tooling specification creation.
*Identify potential process improvement projects, design and develop programs to address findings.
*Trouble shoot processes and complete product failure Root Cause Analysis.
*Develops/reviews/maintains/update related documentation, files, procedures, databases, drawings and schematics in order to ensure integrity of unit instrument and process control technologies.
*Maintain NPI line layout and new assembly line creation within planned timeframes.

Manufacturing Operations Support:
*Develop and implement long term plans for process control improvements.
*Develop/modify procedures & training guidelines as needed for variety of processes, including training of setup and maintenance personnel.
*Perform training and certification of machine/process operation.

Job Qualification/Requirements:
*Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical or other related engineering discipline.
*4+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred with demonstrated ability developing and implementing automation processes and equipment.
*Preferred experience with electronics, pneumatics, automation, PLCs, motion controls and associated programming software a plus.
*Demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines.
*Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member to accomplish objectives.
*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
*Practical hands-on experience with equipment, machining, and fabrication a plus.
*Firearm and sports optics experience along with a knowledge of the shooting sports industry strongly preferred.
*Occasional travel required.

Working Conditions:
*Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
