We are seeking candidates for Equipment Technician roles on all shifts. Compensation for these temp-to-hire opportunities ranges between $20.00-$33.00 per hour, depending on shift and experience. What an Equipment Technician will do:

• Identify and report unsafe conditions including injuries and property damage
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical breakdowns
• Maintain, set-up and repair equipment
• Make adjustments to mechanical parts using hand and machine tools
• Set up, maintain, adjust and troubleshoot all production equipment
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
• Document all mechanical activities
• Assist in training new mechanics when required on set-up and operation of equipment

What you need to be an Equipment Technician:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of previous experience with mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and write English and understand oral and written communications
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret set-up instructions
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation #metrojobs
