Printing Press Operator - Flexography

JOB IS LOCATED IN THE LAS VEGAS AREA. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROVIDED

Premier flexographic printing and converting company in the Las Vegas area is searching to hire an experienced Press Operator for 2nd shift.
Responsibilities include:

• Read & interpret job orders.
• Setup, operate, and maintain multi-unit narrow web flexographic press.
• Mix and adjust inks according to job specifications.
• Check quality of print jobs throughout the run.
• Control ink and substrate waste to minimize production costs.
• Perform routine maintenance on press.
• Maintain a safe workplace that is clean and organized.
• Work closely with press crew and supervisor to stay on schedule.

Qualifications include:
Minimum of 3- 5 years' experience operating multi-unit narrow to mid size flexographic presses; such as: Mark Andy, Nilpeter, Gallus, Comco etc.
Will consider press operators with wide web flexo printing experience.
Working knowledge of a variety of inks, substrates and adhesives used in flexography.
UV experience a plus.
Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills are required.
Good communication skills with crew members and supervisors.
Must be detail and quality oriented.
Must be able to work 2nd shift - 3 - 11pm.
Basic math and reading skills.
High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
