The Rock / SLO Stills:

The Rock consists of a distillery tasting room, restaurant and events space.​

The Carrisa:

The Carrisa building is home to the whiskey lounge, a craft kitchen & jazz lounge specializing in specialty cocktails, a curated menu and live music.

The Lofts at SLO Brew:

The Lofts at SLO Brew are a collection of 5 luxury short-term vacation rentals.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee operations and drive programs across, The Rock, The Carrisa and The Lofts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in F&B and hospitality management. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing personnel, maintaining high standards of service and maximizing revenue opportunities. Excellent leadership skills and an understanding for how to deliver elevated guest experiences are essential for success. The ideal candidate is highly organized with a passion for process development, they will have an eye for detail and an extreme ownership mentality.

General Responsibilities: (The Rock / The Carrisa / The Lofts)

Personnel:

• Create and maintain all staffing levels for all positions and outside vendors relative to operation and success of the business

• Create weekly schedules for all direct reports for maximum efficiency and compliance with payroll budget

• Create and implement training manuals for direct reports for each business unit

• Ensure implementation and adherence of all policies and procedures

• Maintain Accident Reporting and Worker’s Compensation procedures

• Create and maintain Employee Job Descriptions

• Complete Disciplinary Action reports, as needed

Financial Accountability:

• Understanding and management of all revenue procedures

• Create fixed asset inventories with Financial Controller

• Contribute to the creation of an annual operating budget

• Compliance with Purchase Order policies and procedures

• Adherence to budget throughout the operational year

• Compile all pertinent reports for timely submission to Account dept. and Ownership

• Develop and manage operational inventory procedures for operating supplies

Additional Responsibilities: (The Lofts)

Guest Relations / Reservations

• Manage room availability through online platforms; ensuring InnRoad is syncing to outside OTAs

• Manage all inquiries, requests and reservations for guest stays and events (phone/text/email/platform)

• Correspond with all potential wedding couples on full buyouts, providing tours and information

• Available 24/7 to guests for any troubleshooting or emergency situations via phone/text

Operations:

• Update Loft rates, including demand management

• Conduct walkthroughs prior to guest arrival and post departure

• Inventory Management : Includes ordering of supplies, mini-bar stock, etc.

• Work closely with cleaners to maintain current inventory of all items inside each Loft

• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors (ie. Cleaners, maintenance, marketing, events, tech support, etc.)

• Address maintenance issues: ability to assess the situation and determine the best solutions for the issue

Marketing:

• Maintain all internal marketing collateral

• Create marketing graphics for email blasts

• Work with photographers to gather new marketing content

• Website maintenance and updates for slobrewlofts.com

• Manage all social media content

Accounting:

• Keep track of monthly pacing / revenue reports

• Providing an accurate monthly inventory count (mini bar and chaser tickets)

• Manage payment processing (deposits, final payments, refunds etc.)

• Assisting with bill payment, as needed, to ensure all bills are paid in a timely manner

• Assessing bills, cutting costs as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED SKILLS:

• At least 6 years experience in related field with at least 2 years in a leadership role

• Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable, courteous and appropriate communications

• Must be able to exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor to all guests and patrons

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines

• Demonstrated ability for accuracy, attention to detail and thoroughness

• Highly organized and effective time management & planning skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations (add/sub/mult/div)

• Must be familiar with all food items and alcohol served within the establishment as well as the production process for our products

• Strong computer skills

• Flexibility of working hours

• Bachelor's Degree in: Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field

• Must be 21 years of age

Physical Demands:

Must be able to: Move intermittently throughout the work day within a fast-paced environment. Able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Relate to and work with emotionally upset, and at times, hostile or intoxicated people within the facility. Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel, and reach repeatedly throughout the day. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Able to move frequently during working hours. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Works beyond normal working hours on weekends and holidays, and other shifts/positions when necessary.
