is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving processes of all Plasman activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Managing launch activities - run at rate, process development and all pre-production activities
• Manage engineering planning activities and provide direct support to Manufacturing / Launch engineering team
• Lead and mentor engineering team, supporting the development and/or improvement of current cell and plant layout process, implementation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of processes
• Optimize manufacturing operations through analytical studies of the current operating parameters, such as, production methods and processes.
• Analyze, thru CAD and other systems, utilization, layout, workflow and initiate appropriate activities to improve existing processes.
• Participate in a cross-functional internal continuous improvement activities and required documentation for R&D efforts.
• Commission, sign off and implement equipment for secondary operations.
• Work in compliance with all business operating systems, health and safety, and environmental legislation.
• Oversee design, purchase, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of all plant equipment.
• Support continuous improvement activities throughout the facility.
• Support corporate estimating department by providing data, and assisting with quotations related to process at Windsor 1.
• Comply with all established rules, procedures, and H&S mandates
• Ensure personal and associate awareness and understanding of all quality management system requirements, including ISO, IATF and TS
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Oversee all activities and personnel within the Engineering and Maintenance departments
• Ensure adequate preventative maintenance is planned, carried out and documented for all tooling, machinery and critical equipment
• Maintain departmental spend per annual fiscal budget

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Minimum secondary school diploma or equivalent
• Recognized technical diploma, training or education in an engineering, business or maintenance related field, or equivalent years of working experience in an engineering lean or management role.
• 5-10 years process control and troubleshooting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a lead capacity
• Excellent team building, leadership and communication skills both written and verbal
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
• Experience with integrated manufacturing technology as it relates to the facility
