1. Education: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or appropriate training in cardiac sonography. Registered or registry eligible per ARDMS or CCI requirements
2. Training and Experience: Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, associates, patients and visitors.

3. Job Knowledge: Delivers appropriate care to patients from neonatal through geriatrics with regards to age specific considerations.

DESCRIPTION:
A registered or registry eligible sonographer who is responsible for cardiac ultrasounds in any area of the hospital including special care units. May be assigned supervisory responsibilities when adequately prepared.
Must be willing to learn cardiovascular procedures as required.
Must be willing to become proficient and competent at vascular ultrasound, in addition to cardiac ultrasound.
Physical Effort: Maintains good physical well being. Job responsibilities require a great deal of walking, bending, pushing heavy equipment and wheel chairs, and lifting patients.
Mental Effort: Maintains good emotional well being. Possess the ability to work under stress.
