We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled individual to join our Engineering & Design Team. DUTIES:
- Use AutoCAD and Inventor software to create accurate and detailed structural and seismic products for semiconductor tool pedestals.
- Create production drawings and bills of materials that adhere to company standards.
- Assist senior engineers in development and design of structural solutions.
- Communicate with supervisor concerning progress or problems in an assigned task.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, Production, and Install to design structural products and resolve production and field issues.
- Collaborate with customers directly over Teams or in person to generate solutions for issues.
- Design and draft with a high level of accuracy, check others work, and then take responsibility for their accuracy.
- Think strategically and take actions that align new designs to company goals. Contribute ideas that improve product manufacturability and lower costs.
- Be a positive voice during containment/corrective actions and contribute ideas to improve processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience of structural design using Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor 2018 or newer.
- Experience with an engineering change management system.
- Ability to work with both metric and U.S. standard units.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience designing for a metal fabrication shop with knowledge of welding processes and symbology.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Successful candidate must pass drug test and criminal background check prior to job offer.
PREFERENCES:
- Some experience with an ERP system.
- Knowledge of metal machining practices, surface finishes, and GD&T principles.
- Previous hands-on fabrication experience.
- Experience with civil engineering and/or the semiconductor industry.
- Some experience with RISA or Bluebeam.
EDUCATION:
- B.S. Civil or Structural Engineering, A.A.S Drafting or similar, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ENVIRONMENT:
- Office environment that supports fast paced manufacturing work cells.
- Occasional visits to manufacturing floor where PPE must be worn.
- This is an onsite position, not a hybrid position. Some remote work is allowed on an as-needed basis.
- Overtime may be required.
- Travel is not required.
