PLM / Manufacturing Data Specialist

Pay: 70K -80K DOE
Job Summary:
Creates and maintains product Bills of Material (BOMs) and manages product configuration changes within company Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. Coordinates with Engineering, Procurement and Sales departments to ensure that the BOMs are complete, accurate and released in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
- Creates BOMs from Sales Sheet for new projects loaded in PLM system.
- Utilizes PLM change control processes (PR-Problem Report, ECR-Engineering Change Request, and ECO-Engineering Change Order) to update Project and Product BOM’s.
- Attends Project Kick Off meetings for new projects.
- Attends Change Control Board meetings and processes approved ECR’s to update BOM’s/Products.
- Consult with Designer personnel to ensure compliant parts are defined and utilized in the maintaining of Project and Product BOM’s.
- Create and maintain database records related to new and existing parts and BOMs.
- Develop and maintain BOMs and costing of in house manufactured parts.
Skills:
- Computer skills in PLM, Purchasing, and Manufacturing software systems.
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes.
- Marine systems experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of ABYC standards or willing to attend ABYC certification classes.
- Experience with Rhino3D is a plus.
Required Experience & Education:
- High school diploma (GED/High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Associate or technical degree OR over 4 years of related experience in manufacturing product data management.
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires use of computer, telephones and other office equipment, reading, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Position also requires ability to work in and around boats from the beginning of production through on the sea trials. This includes mobility to work in and around incomplete aluminum hull structures.
- Ability to lift packages, equipment, etc. up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
